SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- According to a recent report
released by VentureOne, valuation
increases by venture-backed IT companies have had the effect of increasing
median valuation levels for all venture-backed companies in Q3 of 2006.
Median funding rounds for IT companies reached $20.4 million, up from $11.8
million the same period last year.
M&A median valuations exceeded $47 million for IT companies, helping to
boost still-independent company valuations for financing rounds.
