Metavize Lands $10.5 Million, Changes Name

SAN MATEO, CA  --  Metavize, Inc. announced the closing of a $10.5 million Series A round of financing and changed its name to Untangle, Inc.  The company develops software and hardware applications to increase enterprise network security.

Concurrent with the new financing, the company appointed Bob Walters as CEO.  Walters was previously CEO and president of software developer Teros.

CMEA Ventures and Rustic Canyon Partners invested in the round and firm representatives have taken seats on the company's board of directors.
