BALTIMORE, MD -- Security company SafeNet, Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Ingrian Networks, which will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of SafeNet.

Ingrian has been a leader in providing enterprise data encryption within the data center.  It claims customers such as Dell, Hyundai Motor and AIRMILES.

The acquisition is complementary for SafeNet in that it allows their existing customers to purchase a wider range of security measures to add more depth to their compliance posture.  Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
