CallWave Acquires Web Messenger For Cash

San Francisco, California --  Communications provider CallWave (Nasdaq: CALL) announced that it has acquired WebMessenger for $9 million in an all cash transaction.

WebMessenger provides enterprise-based real-time messaging and presence solutions that tie desktop computers with various smart phone devices.

 “We’re on track to launch FUZE in the current quarter,” said Jeff Cavins, Chief Executive Officer of CallWave. “We will integrate WebMessenger’s technology into FUZE to enhance our competitive position among unified communications solutions providers.”
