San Diego, California -- iPhone application developer Dial Directions has announced the launch of what it calls the first iPhone application for voice entry to websites, at the DEMOfall08 conference.
IPhone users just speak any "place" while at a website of their choice, and the application automatically finds a map of that location.
"While the iPhone has changed the entire mobile landscape, its 'Achilles Heel' remains the keyboard," said Greg Sterling senior analyst for Opus Research's Local Mobile Search program. "Dial Directions' impressive speech platform should further accelerate search and LBS-related lookups on the device by removing the keyboard as an obstacle."
