Accera Garners Venture Capital And Debt Funding

Broomfield, Colorado  --  Biotechnology company Accera has secured $18.4 million in a combination of venture capital equity and debt, according to an SEC regulatory filing.

Accera is developing therapeutic treatments for neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease.

Investors in the financing round were not disclosed, nor was how the company intends to use the funding proceeds.

Accera is backed by a number of institutional venture capital firms.
