Freescale Semi Launches Industrial Accelerometer

   Austin, Texas  --  Freescale Semiconductor (NYSE: FSL) has announced the launch of a new analog accelerometer.

Called the FXLN83xxQ, the product is a high-bandwidth three access accelerometer designed specifically to detect ultra-high-frequency motion and vibration in industrial motors and equipment.

The device is housed in a 3 x 3 mm package and features the highest bandwidth in its class at 2.7 kHz.

The company also cited an IHS report stating that semiconductor revenue is forecast to grow 9% in 2014, to $35.4 billion.

The accelerometer is available now for a suggested resale price of $1.20 to $1.70 in 1kU quantities.
