Avelas Bio Secures Series A Venture Capital

   La Jolla, California  --  Medical device technology company Avelas Biosciences has received $7.65 million in first round venture capital investment.

Avelas is developing a real-time luminous map for oncologic surgeons.

Avalon Ventures provided the financing.

The company said it would use the funding to advance its Avelas Cancer Illuminator toward clinical studies.
