ClearSpec Develops Improved Cervical Visualization

Gainesville, Florida  --  Medical device startup ClearSpec Medical has finalized a financing agreement to continue developing its advanced speculum solutions.

The company has licensed technology from the University of South Florida that it says will enable improved cervical examinations and improve patient outcomes.

The financing agreement is with the Institute for Commercialization of Public Research.  The Institute is a nonprofit organization formed by the Florida legislature in 2007 and is deploying $10 million in seed capital.
