It's a few days old, but Internet/mobile investor Fred Wilson has a good post up on "mobile gatekeepers":
View post hereHe basically says that they try to avoid investing in companies where there is a gatekeeper in between the company and the user, which has been the case in the past in the mobile market with the carriers.
He goes on to say that he has seen Apple and Android recently pull a number of applications related to his portfolio companies and others, which has harmed those companies.
Seems like he is equating Apple and Android with the cellular carriers.

There is an interesting post up at PE Hub about how the University of California Board of Regents has not received or publicly disclosed individual fund performance data for Sequoia Capital and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers funds:

There is a new study by Shareholder Representative Services that sheds some light on the state of the M&A market for technology startups and the Wall Street Journal has a good synopsis:
