Intel Capital Funds Jordan Valley Semiconductors

AUSTIN, TX -- Semiconductor company Jordan Valley Semiconductors, Inc. said that it has received funding from strategic investor Intel Capital.

Jordan provides chip makers with metrology solutions for thin films based on non-contacting and non-destructive x-ray technology.  Customers use its products for both front-end and back-end applications on current and next-generation thin films.

The amount of the investment was not disclosed.  The company's other investors include Elron Electronic Industries (Nasdaq: ELRN) and Clal Electronics Industries, Inc.
