Netvibes Expands Widget Platform To Windows

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Internet-centric company Netvibes announced that its universal widget platform now supports Microsoft Windows Vista and Live, and will soon support Yahoo! widgets as well.

The company says that the advantages of its universal widget API (UWA) are that it is compatible with all leading web and desktop widget platforms, that they behave in full-featured formats and are automatically translated for all platforms and syndicated across the Netvibes Ecosystem.

Netvibes says it has millions of users in more than 150 countries.
