Linux Developer Levanta Clears $8 Million

SAN MATEO, CA -- Software developer Levanta, Inc. said that it has closed another round of financing, receiving $8 million in new venture capital investment.

Levanta provides on-demand Linux management and data virtualization that enables customers to have more flexible control of Linux on commodity hardware, racks, blades, boxes and virtual machines.

Investors in the round included Walden International and Levensohn Venture Partners.  Proceeds purposes were not specifically detailed.
