Sipera Systems Snags Substantial Series C

RICHARDSON, TX -- Security software company Sipera Systems, Inc. said that it has received $10 million in third round financing from a syndicate of venture capital firms.

Sipera is developing security software for Voice over Internet Protocol networks.  The company's products combine VPN, Firewall/SBC, Intrusion Prevention and other features in a single system.

The round was led by new investor Duchossois Technology Partners and included previous investors Sequoia Capital, Austin Ventures and Star Ventures.  Funding proceeds will help the company expand sales and marketing and continue building out its product line.
