APT Pharmaceuticals Adds $22 Million Funding

TUCSON, AZ -- APT Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced that it has received $22 million in series A-2 funding from a syndicate of venture capital investors.

APT is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company that is developing products to treat patients with asthma, chronic pulmonary obstructive disease, rhinitis and rhinovirus.

Investors in the round included Versant Ventures, Great Point Partners, Vivo Ventures and Charter Life Sciences Fund.  The company said it will use the proceeds to advance its development pipeline.
