Mesmo Secures Half Of Series A Funding

OAKLAND, CA -- Internet video site Mesmo.tv has secured $450,000 for the first half of its planned series A round of financing, according to PE Week.

Mesmo allows users to upload and share videos that they find on any website.  In addition, users can see what their friends and other people are watching and find people with similar video interests and tastes.

Felicis Ventures and Maples Investments invested in the round.  Funding proceeds purposes were not disclosed.  The company plans to raise at least another $450,000 to complete the round.
