S5 Wireless Announces Successful Wireless Test Results

SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- Wireless location company S5 Wireless said that it has achieved early success in testing its full location technology system.

All elements of the company's system infrastructure were tested, including wireless transmitting tags, base stations, location and telemetry servers and network operations centers.

In operation, the tags are the size of a dime and provide regular location information - whether inside buildings or outside - to the network, which is then forwarded within 2 seconds to company customers.  The system's advantage over standard GPS technology is that it can work inside buildings as well as outside.
