Alloptic Granted PON Technology Patent

LIVERMORE, CA -- Networking company Alloptic, Inc. announced that it has been granted a U.S. patent for passive optical network (PON) technology.

The patent provides intellectual property protection to Alloptic for certain types of fiber optic traffic technology.  The system is designed to enable the use of a second wavelength in a TDM fashion over a PON, and for passive fiber rings.

Alloptic sells a suite of legacy and emerging technology services for voice, data and video applications to service providers worldwide.
