Webmail And Rackspace Launch Outlook-Sync

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- Webmail.us and Rackspace Managed Hosting announced the launch and commercial availability of a service that allows business email users to synchronize their web-based shared calendars, contacts and tasks with Microsoft Outlook.

Called Outlook-Sync, the system is based on the Funambol open source software project and leverages SyncML wireless technology to share data between the web and Outlook. 

The software is installed as a plug-in to Outlook, and is available and supported by Webmail.us, a division of Rackspace Managed Hosting.
