SHERBORN, MA -- Biotech company Ascent Therapeutics, Inc. has received $8 million in its first institutional round of venture capital funding, according to a report in PE Week Wire.
Ascent is focused on discovering and developing new therapies for cancer and inflammatory diseases.
Investors in the round included HealthCare Ventures, Novartis BioVenture Fund and TVM Capital. Proceeds purposes from the funding were not disclosed by the company.
