RENO, NV -- Sedum Laboratories, Inc. is auctioning its U.S. Patent #6,645,525, "Ionically Formulated Biomolecule Microcarriers" via IpAuctions Inc.

Due to the untimely death of the company's founder and scientific officer James Woiszwillo, the company has chosen to wind up its operations and sell the patent as its major asset.

According to the company, "several major pharmaceutical companies were in various stages of evaluation" of the patent.  Woiszwillo held 13 patents and was the founder of Epic Therapeutics, a drug delivery company that was acquired by Baxter Healthcare.
