OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Data Systems International, Inc. (DSI) announced that it has added voice functionality to its data collection software suite for tracking inventory, assets and time.

The new capability allows users to interact verbally with the software via headset and microphone, leaving their hands and eyes free for other tasks.

According to the company, the system is the first of its kind to seamlessly incorporate bar code, RFID and voice inputs.  As an example, the application allows warehouse processes, such as picking, to be voice-enabled to enhance productivity or worker safety.
