ITHACA, NY -- Advanced materials company Novomer, Inc. said that it has raised $6.6 million in series A funding from clean tech-oriented venture capital firms.
Novomer is focused on developing low cost, high performance "green" plastics, polymers and other chemicals. The company is targeting several industrial sectors for its environmentally-friendly products.
Investors in the round were Physic Ventures and Flagship Ventures, who both co-led the round. The company said it will scale up production capacity and increase its business development efforts.
