PORTLAND, OR -- Security company iovation said that it has secured $15 million in new investment from strategic investor Intel Capital and other undisclosed investors.

iovation focuses on Internet-enabled devices and their "reputations" for abusive behavior to neutralize and prevent repeated security offenses.  The company's system then disables the device, regardless of whether the online perpetrator takes on new identities.

Intel Capital said it would also provide enhanced access to its intellectual property and related development resources as part of the investment.
