CDI Bioscience Secures $3 Million First Round

MADISON, WI -- Biotechnology company CDI Bioscience, Inc. said that it has raised $3 million in its first institutional round of venture capital financing.

CDI has developed a technology that increases the yield of bioproducts that are manufactured in cellular systems.  Such products have a longer life span and are more resistant to envrionmental stresses.

Battelle Ventures and its affiliate Innovation Valley Partners were the investors in the round.  Proceeds purposes from the funding were not disclosed.
