Kango Clears $4 Million First Funding Round

PALO ALTO, CA -- Internet travel site Kango, Inc. has received $4 million in series A venture capital financing.

Kango, founded by former Yahoo! Travel general manager Yen Lee, aggregates travel opinions from more than a thousand web sites to offer its members information for them to make better travel-related decisions.

Shasta Ventures invested in the round.  Concurrent with the funding announcement, the company opened its website for public beta testing.
