SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Internet company Kyte.tv announced that it has raised $15 million in strategic investment from a syndicate of venture capital and corporate investors.

Kyte allows users to create their own TV shows and broadcast them on their own interactive web channel, website, blog, social network or mobile phone.  The videos can be shared among friends or colleagues, who can also be part of the videos if the user so desires.

Investors in the round were lead investor Nokia Growth Partners and included Swisscom, Holtzbrinck Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and others.  The company plans to use the proceeds to further develop and distribute its platform.
