NeuroMetrix Acquires EyeTel Imaging

COLUMBIA, MD -- Medical device company NeuroMetrix, Inc. (Nasdaq: NURO) announced that it has acquired the assets of EyeTel Imaging, Inc. for $10.1 million in a stock and cash transaction.

EyeTel Imaging has developed the DigiScope, which allows eye physicians to better examine patients eyes during annual dilated eye exams.  The device may also be useful in the evaluation of common retinal and optic nerve disorders.

NeuroMetrix said it would pay EyeTel shareholders $175,000 in cash and the remaining $9.9 million in newly issued shares of its stock.
