PTV Sciences Launches $190 Million Fund II

AUSTIN, TX -- Life science venture capital firm PTV Sciences says it has raised $190 million to launch its second fund.

PTV has already made several investments out of Fund II and intends for the fund to invest in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and other life science companies.

The firm was founded by Matthew Crawford and Dr. Evan Melrose.  They intend to invest in companies throughout the country and have already hired additional venture partners, Nancy Chang and Dr. Stephen Slade.
