Wesabe Closes Series A Funding Of $4 Million

BERKELEY, CA -- Online finance site Wesabe announced the close of its first institutional round, securing $4 million in new venture capital investment.

Wesabe has created a financial oriented community site that links its members' spending records with their account and allows them to socialize with other members about making smarter financial decisions.

Union Square Ventures led the round which included seed investor O'Reilly AlphaTech Ventures.  The company plans to use the funding to expand its marketing efforts and product development.
