Advanced BioNutrition Secures Nearly $8 Million

COLUMBIA, MD -- Aquaticulture company Advanced BioNutrition announced a new funding round, receiving $7.75 million in investment.

The company has developed new products to help improve the feed stock for shrimp and other basic fish populations.  "ABN has developed an alternative to fishmeal or fish oil with significant long-term economic and environmental advantages," said Jason Winship, managing principal of Sea Change Investment Fund.

Sea Change led the round, which included previous investors Sherbrooke Capital, Emerald Technology Ventures, BASF Ventures and Arancia Industrial.
