LivePerson Acquires Kasamba For $40 Million

NEW YORK, NY -- Pesonal shopping company LivePerson, Inc. (Nasdaq: LPSN) announced an agreement to acquire Israel-based Kasamba, Inc.  Under the terms of the agreement, LivePerson will pay $9 million in cash and $31 million in stock, totaling $40 million in consideration.

Kasamba aggregates thousands of experts on a wide variety of consumer-oriented subjects who sell their expertise.  Kasamba receives a portion of the gross fees.

LivePerson intends to utilize Kasamba's platform to accelerate its expansion into the direct-t-consumer market via its LivePersonalShoppers.com service.
