New PA Venture Capital Invests In IT Firm

HARRISBURG, PA --  Governor Ed Rendell announced the investment of $3 million in an early-stage information technology company by the state Commonwealth Financing Authority.

The new investment, from the New PA Venture Capital Investment Program, is part of the state's $2.8 billion economic stimulus package that addresses the venture capital community by providing up to $60 million in loans to venture capital firms.

This investment was funded through New Atlantic, a venture capital firm.  The investee company was not named.
