Haemonetics Acquires Infonale Software Co

BRAINTREE, MA -- Blood IT company Haemonetics, Inc. (NYSE: HAE) announced the acquisition of Infonale, Inc. for $1.3 million in cash plus contingent consideration based on future performance.

Infonale provides hospitals with consulting services and IT software that tracks blood use, patient length of stay and diagnosis-related group care patterns.

The Infonale systems have helped hospitals improve patient outcomes while saving costs by correlating blood management policies to evidence-based best practices, according to the company.
