Certeon Raises $15 Million Series B Funding

BURLINGTON, MA -- Information technology company Certeon announced the receipt of $15 million in series B venture capital funding.

Certeon has developed what it calls "Application Acceleration Appliances" that assist in speeding up performance of enterprise software applications such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint and EMC's Documentum.

Investors in the round were led by RRE Ventures, and included Sigma Partners, Globespan Capital, Dow Employees Pension Plan and others.  The company will use the funding proceeds to expand the company's sales and marketing efforts worldwide.
