Strix Systems Launches Public Safety Wireless Network

BROOKLINE, MA -- Strix Systems announced the impending launch of the Brookline city's multi-use first responder Wi-Fi network.

The network is a combined public safety and commercial Wi-Fi network and incorporates the 4.9 GHz frequency band for public safety services.  The company says it is one of the first such networks to be launched.

Galaxy Internet services along with the City of Brookline will provide the ongoing service to the city population of over 57,000.
