Ablation Frontiers Closes $22 Million Series C

CARLSBAD, CA -- Medical device maker Ablation Frontiers, Inc. announced the close of its $21.8 million series C financing round.

The company has developed a portfolio of devices for treating arrhythmias with the use of expensive imaging systems or robotics.  The company intends to use the funding to fund the IDE clinical trial in the U.S., as well as expanding its operations worldwide.

Investors included Novartis Venture Fund, Affinity Ventures, Hexagon Investments, Trellis Health Ventures, Versant Ventures, Aberdare Ventures and Pequot Ventures.
