Netezza IPO Nets Company $108 Million

FRAMINGHAM, MA -- Data warehouse company Netezza Corporation (NYSE: NZ) floated its initial public offering (IPO), selling 9 million shares at $12 each before fees.

Netezza makes data warehouse appliances and systems, which enable companies and organizations to rapidly search large volumes of data for actionable insights into their business operations.

The company was backed by Battery Ventures, Charles River Ventures, Matrix Partners and Motorola Corporation.
