GAINESVILLE, FL -- Online company Grooveshark announced the launch of what it says is the first peer-to-peer music sharing network that pays musicians and copyright holders a share of music sales proceeds.

By completing a free registration process, musicians and labels can access to the site's features, which allow them upload their music.  According to Sam Tarantino, CEO of Grooveshark, "We've created this system to finish what the digital revolution started: to let any person in the world make their music available to anyone in the world - but this time, everyone gets paid."
