HERZLIYA, ISRAEL -- Telecom equipment maker Ethos Networks has received $8 million in series B venture capital funding, according to a report in Globes.

Ethos is developing a carrier class Ethernet metro switch.  The company says its product is unique in that it is the first Ethernet over Ethernet solution that "offers deterministic control across the packet transport network."

Investors in the round were existing investors Evergreen Partners and Vertex Venture Capital.  The round will enable the company to continue development and begin its first sales and marketing activities.
