BluePhoenix Agrees To Acquire ASNA For Cash

HERZLIYA, ISRAEL -- BluePhoenix Systems (Nasdaq: BPHX) announced the signing of a letter of intent to acquire ASNA of San Antonio, for $9.5 million in an all cash transaction.

ASNA provides software upgrades to customers using IBM mid-range and legacy computer systems.  The benefits of its software is that it allows these types of clients to squeeze the maximum life-span from their investment in older systems.

BluePhoenix is acquiring ASNA in order to expand its legacy software offerings into the IBM mid-range market.
