Avila Therapeutics Raises Series A Funding

WALTHAM, MA -- Biopharmaceutical company Avila Therapeutics, Inc. has secured an undisclosed amount of series A round venture capital funding.
Avila is focused on the discovery and development of small molecule therapeutics with an initial focus on cancer and viral diseases.
Investors in the round were lead investor Abingworth Management and included Advent International, Atlas Venture and Polaris Venture Partners. Proceeds purposes were not disclosed.
