Pluggd Raises $6 Million First Round Financing

SEATTLE, WA -- Search technology company Pluggd said that it has secured $6 million in series A funding from a syndicate of investors.

Pluggd provides audio and video search advertising targeting services that audio/video sites use to make their offerings more easily searchable by their site visitors.

Investors were led by Intel Capital, and included DFJ Frontier, Labrador Ventures and Band of Angels.  The company said that proceeds will be used for hiring, continued product development and to build partnerships with traditional media and online content companies.
