Bluepulse Launches In US And Gets $6 Million

SAN MATEO, CA -- Mobile social networking company Bluepulse announced that it has moved its headquarters from Australia to San Mateo, CA, and received $6 million in venture funding.

Bluepulse is developing a social networking application that works on most Internet-enabled phones around the world - in excess of 1 billion handsets.  The company says it has users in over 150 countries and is supported by an advertising-based revenue model.

VantagePoint Venture Partners made the investment, and no proceeds purposes were announced.
