Ben Franklin Tech Invests $484K In Startups

LEHIGH VALLEY, PA -- The Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania announced that its board has approved investments in four early-stage companies based in Pennsylvania.

The companies and their technologies are:

  • Discovery Machine - $35,000 - a software suite that allows manufacturing companies to integrate expert processes.
  • HepGen - $149,650 - Developing a new blood test for detection of precursor to liver fibrosis and cirrhosis resulting from non-alcohol causes.
  • hField Technologies - $150,000 - Developer of a wi-fi extension technology.
  • Viddler, Inc. - $150,000 - Continue development of its online video platform.
