SEATTLE, WA --  Networking company F5 Networks (Nasdaq: FFIV) announced a definitive agreement to acquire Acopia Networks of Lowell, MA, for $210 million in an all cash transaction.

Acopia's products virtualize existing file storage into a single global space that can be centrally managed, with real time data management policies.

F5 Networks optimizes enterprise application delivery for its 20,000+ customers worldwide.  Acopia serves a market that is adjacent to F5's core market, so the acquisition will increase F5's addressable market to include storage solutions and technologies.
