SoftTech VC Fund II Launches At Tech Conference

SAN FRANCISCO, CA  --  A new very early stage venture capital fund announced its launch at the TechCrunch40 Web 2.0 conference, held in San Francisco yesterday.

SoftTech VC Fund II was founded by software industry veteran Jeff Clavier, the fund has been seeded with $12 million from a mix of institutional and private investors and intends to focus on very early stage consumer Internet companies.

Typical initial funding sizes will range between $100K to $500K per round.  The fund will be run by Clavier and will target 30 to 40 start ups throughout its life span.
