AgaMatrix Raises Funding For European Expansion

SALEM, NH - Medical device maker AgaMatrix said that it has secured $23.7 million in funding from new and existing investors.

AgaMatrix developed and markets the WaveSense line of blood glucose monitoring and data management systems for patients with diabetes.  The company has four patented FDA-cleared products.

Ferrer Freeman & Co. led the round.  The company said it intends to expand its sales and marketing operations in Europe while it prepares for a potential IPO in the United States.
