Incipient Nets $12 Million Fifth Funding Round

WALTHAM, MA -- Storage software maker Incipient Inc. announced that it has closed its series E round of funding, receiving $12 million in new investment from its existing venture capital investors.

Incipient provides a network-resident software platform that offers storage services to enterprises.  The company has also developed a data migration system, which it intends to market with the proceeds from this funding.

Company investors are Sigma Partners, Globespan Capital Partners, Greylock Partners and Grand Banks Capital.
