Capella Clears $15 Million In New Venture Capital

SAN JOSE, CA -- Switch-maker Capella Intelligent Subsystems, Inc. said that it has secured $15 million in second round venture capital funding.

Capella builds wavelength selective switch technology for use in optical add/drop multiplexers and optical cross connect applications.

Investors in the round were Lucas Venture Group, Levensohn Venture Partners, Rustic Canyon Partners and Formative Ventures.  The company will use the proceeds to bring new products to market and make existing product improvements.
